Let’s begin then guys…

Okay, so let me tell you why I think animal cruelty is not a nice thing to go with that lippy.

I personally do not believe my looks are more important than other lives getting tortured. Come on it’s just the way you look! Plus it’s not like there are not brands out there that do not support animal testing. Those who cannot speak should not be mistreated just because it’s easy to do so. We are in a very modern age and almost everything that needs to be tested for the beauty world has most definitely already been tested, so why test further on animals? Really boggles my mind, especially when there are so many people out there who happily put themselves forward to test the newest formulas. Our human reactions are also going to different to say the reactions of a rabbit, we are not the same, so why do we expect what a mascara does to that rabbit will do the same to us?!?

Plus you know what is even better than using formulas that do need to be tested (on people or in test tubes of course, not little cuties), using natural formulas! I have a vegan cook book by Aine Carlin called ‘The New Vegan’and she gives recipes at the back on how to make your own beauty products, how amazing is that! I have not tried making them yet but I will do and of course show the results. Isn’t it nice to know what is actually going on your body same as what is going in your body? However, I do know that completely natural products are not always the option, but they are always nice!

It’s just so easy to make sure and do your research on what products you are buying into, the simplest way to be a nice human! I say we have to always try and be the nicest we can be in this life in everything we do. It’s lovely being nice.

I then got distracted from writing my own views and started to look at what famous people have said about animal testing. Below I have put some of my favourite ones:

Paul McCartney

“If every cosmetic tested on rabbits or mice had a photo on the packaging showing these animals with weeping swollen eyes and inflamed skin, I believe everyone would leave cruelty on the shelf.”

Chrissie Hynde

“Please check for a cruelty-free guarantee before buying a product and if it is not stated on the label, put it back on the shelf!”

Joanna Lumly

“I hate the idea that people wanting to be beautiful and smooth should use such an ugly and cruel product.Don’t touch it:support the brilliant substitute for animal testing, and keep your conscience as unmarked as your brow”

George Orwell

“Man is the only creature that consumes without producing. He does not give milk, he does not lay eggs, he is too weak to pull the plough, he cannot run fast enough to catch rabbits. Yet he is lord of all the animals.”

Ricky Gervais

“Dear intelligent people of the world, don’t get shampoo in your eyes. It really stings. There. Done. Now fucking stop torturing animals.”

Johnny Depp

“If you don’t like seeing pictures of violence towards animals being posted, you need to stop the violence not the pictures.”

Morrissey

“They are friendly loyal animals who should be sleeping in our beds, not dying for botox and viagra”

If you have any great quotes from famous people about being against animal testing I would love you to tell me! I will add more as I find more to my blog page.
